Arsene Wenger has been hit hard by the recent protests against the club’s directors by the fans, but his side have certainly not as they beat Blackburn Rovers 7-1 at The Emirates Stadium.

Wenger said, “We are in January and it [finishing fourth] can happen. But we are in competition with Liverpool, who have not won the league for 22 years and they had [previously] won it 18 times in 20 years. It can happen.”

Arsenal played out a frustrating goalless draw against Bolton Wanders a the Reebok Stadium on Wednesday evening. The result leaves the gunners in real danger of missing out on a place in next season’s Champions League, as Arsene Wenger’s side now sit five points behind 4th-placed Chelsea.
Wenger made just two changes to the side which beat Aston Villa 82 hours earlier in the FA cup. Bacary Sagna – making his first start since October – and Mikel Arteta, replaced Francis Coquelin and Tomas Rosicky. The Czech playmaker was somewhat unfortunate to be left out of the starting eleven after a run of impressive displays.
